What this actually is
Haven is magnesium, and only magnesium. Each serving carries 275 mg of it, which is 65% of the Daily Value, delivered as magnesium glycinate.
Glycinate is the gentle form. It is also a roomy one: it takes 2,500 mg of magnesium glycinate to carry 275 mg of magnesium, which is why a serving is three capsules rather than one.
Three capsules, once a day, ninety in the bottle, so one bottle is one month. Evening suits it nicely, with a glass of water and your feet up. The capsule is vegetable cellulose, so Haven is vegan.*
Where it is made
Made in the United States in an FDA-registered, GMP-certified facility, then packed and posted from Arvada, Colorado. The address on the label is ours, and there is usually a dog in the building.
Twenty seconds, one capsule with a face.
Pip walks through what is in the bottle and how much of it, straight off the label. Sound is off until you tap it, which we think is only polite.
Here it is, drawn to scale.
One mineral, so one bar. 275 mg of magnesium is 65% of the Daily Value, carried by 2,500 mg of magnesium glycinate.
Other ingredients: hypromellose (capsule), magnesium stearate, silicon dioxide, rice flour.
How to take it.
No loading phase, no cycling, no chart on the fridge. Three capsules and a glass of water.
Three capsules, one glass of water
All three together, once a day. Evening suits it nicely.
Same time, most evenings
Pin it to the last cup of tea or the washing up. Turning up is the whole trick.
Somewhere cool and dry
Not the bathroom. Skip it if the seal is broken. Keep out of reach of children.

Takes the edge off high-stress days
I have a demanding finance job. Haven helps dial down the physical tension in my shoulders and chest without making me sleepy.
Smooth relaxation in the evening
I take this around 7 PM to unwind after work. It eases mental chatter and helps me transition into evening mode smoothly.
Subtle but definitely working
It’s not an intense sedative, so don't expect to be knocked out. It provides a mellow, grounded sense of calm. Great for mild daily stress.
Lifesaver during busy project launches
I feel far more composed when dealing with tight deadlines and high anxiety. Really well-balanced formula.
No grogginess the next morning
Helps me relax before bed without that foggy hangover feeling common with heavy sleep aids or melatonin.
Very pleasant calming effect
Takes about 45 minutes to kick in. Really helps buffer workday anxiety and physical restlessness.
Replaced my evening glass of wine
I used to pour a glass of Pinot to decompress from work. Haven gives me that same nervous system release without the sleep disruption or alcohol calories.
Subtle physical ease
Relaxes the tightness in my neck and jaw when deadlines pile up. It doesn't make me drowsy during daytime use either.
Good grounding supplement
Very mild herbal calming effect. It won't erase major panic, but it definitely keeps everyday irritation from boiling over.
The studies behind it.
Four papers worth knowing about, written up in plain English. They test the ingredients rather than this exact bottle, and where that difference matters we have said so.
Magnesium and a better night
A double-blind trial gave 46 older adults with insomnia either 500 mg of magnesium a day or a placebo for eight weeks. The magnesium group fell asleep sooner, spent more of the night actually asleep and scored better on an insomnia scale. Their melatonin went up and their cortisol came down.
The catchThe trial used magnesium oxide at 500 mg, in people aged 60 to 75. Haven is 275 mg from glycinate, so it is the same mineral in a different coat and a smaller size.
The stressed and slightly short
Researchers recruited 264 healthy adults who were both stressed and on the low side for magnesium, and gave them 300 mg a day for eight weeks, with or without vitamin B6. Stress scores fell by about 42% on magnesium alone and 45% with B6 added.
The catchThere was no placebo group, so some of that drop is simply eight weeks going by. And everyone started out low in magnesium, which is where a top-up shows most.
Thirty-four blood pressure trials
A meta-analysis pooled 34 double-blind, placebo-controlled trials covering 2,028 people. A median of 368 mg of magnesium a day for about three months lowered systolic blood pressure by 2.00 mmHg and diastolic by 1.78.
The catchTwo points is a real result and a modest one. It is a finding about magnesium in general, and Haven is not a treatment for blood pressure.
The insomnia trials, pooled
A systematic review found three randomised trials of oral magnesium in 151 older adults with insomnia. Pooled together, people on magnesium fell asleep 17.36 minutes sooner than people on placebo.
The catchThree small trials, and the reviewers rated the evidence low to very low quality. Promising, and still waiting for a bigger study to turn up.

Things people ask.
01When should I take Haven?
Three capsules together, once a day, with a glass of water. Evening is the popular spot, somewhere between the washing-up and the pillow. Same time most days is the part that matters.
02Why three capsules?
Because magnesium glycinate is a roomy molecule. It takes 2,500 mg of it to carry 275 mg of magnesium, and 2,500 mg does not fit in one capsule. So it travels in three.
03How much magnesium is in a serving?
275 mg of magnesium, which is 65% of the Daily Value, from 2,500 mg of magnesium glycinate. Both numbers are on the label.
04Can I take Haven with Keel?
Add up the totals first. Keel already has 200 mg of magnesium and Haven has 275 mg, which makes 475 mg a day from supplements. US health authorities set the upper level for magnesium from supplements at 350 mg a day for adults, so pick one of the two or ask your clinician.
05Is Haven vegan?
Yes. The capsule is hypromellose, a vegetable cellulose, and the other ingredients are magnesium stearate, silicon dioxide and rice flour.
06Should anyone skip it?
Talk to your clinician first if you have a kidney condition, are pregnant, nursing, under 18, or take prescription medicine. Magnesium can get in the way of some antibiotics and osteoporosis medicines, so those are usually taken a few hours apart.
