What this actually is
Keel is for weeks when your appetite has its own ideas. Digestive enzymes, a hardy probiotic, ginger and peppermint, and a full set of methylated B vitamins, in two capsules a day.
The digestion half is DigeZyme enzymes and bromelain, which work on the meal in front of you, plus LactoSpore, a spore-forming probiotic that is happy travelling through your day. Ginger and peppermint are the two most reliably comforting things in a kitchen cupboard, and they are in here at sensible amounts.*
The other half is nutrition: B12 as methylcobalamin, folate as L-5-MTHF, B6 as P5P, plus iron, zinc, magnesium, biotin and D3, with a little black pepper extract to help things along. Take it with a meal. There is iron in here, so food matters.*
Where it is made
Made in the United States in an FDA-registered, GMP-certified facility, then packed and posted from Arvada, Colorado. The address on the label is ours, and there is usually a dog in the building.
Twenty seconds, one capsule with a face.
Pip walks through what is in the bottle and how much of it, straight off the label. Sound is off until you tap it, which we think is only polite.
Here it is, drawn to scale.
Methylated nutrients with a Daily Value above the line, enzymes and botanicals below it. Paperwork, not hierarchy.
** Daily Value not established. Other ingredients: hypromellose (capsule), microcrystalline cellulose, MCT oil, silicon dioxide, magnesium stearate. Contains iron — keep out of reach of children.
How to take it.
No loading phase, no cycling, no chart on the fridge. Two capsules and a glass of water.
Two capsules, one glass of water
Six to eight ounces does it. With food is not optional here, because iron is inside.
Same time, most days
Pin it to the kettle or the morning coffee. Turning up is the whole trick.
Somewhere cool and dry
Not the bathroom. Skip it if the seal is broken. Keep out of reach of children.

Finally something that actually settled the bloat
I was getting that tight, gassy bloat after almost every meal. The ginger + peppermint + bromelain combo in Keel is the first thing that has made evenings comfortable again. I take it with lunch as the label says and I am not regretting dinner by 8pm.
Ginger that actually helps with nausea — not hype
I read the ginger trial Knurle linked and it matched my experience. I get queasy when my appetite shifts hard, and the standardised Gingerols extract takes the edge off without knocking me out. No sugar, no chews, just a quiet stomach.
My eating is lighter now but I still feel covered
I am eating a lot less at the moment and was worried about gaps. Keel gives me methylated B12, folate, iron and zinc in forms my tracker actually recognises. I feel less wiped in the afternoons than I did on a generic multivitamin.
No more heavy post-meal slump
Bromelain + DigeZyme is the difference here. Heavy protein meals used to sit like a brick. Now they move. I can have a proper lunch and still think in the afternoon.
Peppermint is subtle and it works
I was braced for burping peppermint all day. It is nothing like that. Very gentle cooling, no repeating, and my gut feels calmer by evening. The capsules are easy to swallow.
LactoSpore is the only probiotic that has stayed civil
Other spore and gummy probiotics gave me gas for a week then quit. Bacillus coagulans in Keel has been steady. Regular, comfortable, no drama. I take it every day with water and food.
Methylated B vitamins done properly
As a clinician I check the forms. Methylcobalamin for B12, L-5-MTHF for folate, P5P for B6 — third time I have seen a consumer formula get all three right at sensible doses. That is why I suggest Keel to wellness-focused patients managing appetite changes.
Iron without the usual punishment
Ferrous bisglycinate plus BioPerine has been kinder than any iron I have tried. No constipation, no black-stool panic. My ferritin was borderline low and I needed daily iron I could actually stick to.
Magnesium that does not send you running
200 mg split oxide/citrate is well judged. I get the muscle and sleep steadiness without the laxative urgency that straight citrate gave me. And BioPerine helps the rest absorb rather than pass through.
One bottle instead of gut powder + iron + B complex
I had a tub of digestive enzymes, a separate iron, and a methylated B complex cluttering the counter. Keel replaces all three. Two capsules, one habit, and the doses are printed so I can check the math.
Ashwagandha at a sane, non-hyped dose
I was sceptical of an adaptogen blend, but 5% withanolides at this level is supportive without being sedating. I feel less wired in the evenings and I am not chasing sleep as hard.
My diet is smaller but my energy is not
When portions dropped, so did my energy. B12, folate and magnesium in Keel picked the gap straight up. I am not hitting the 3pm wall the way I was on appetite-suppressed days.
DigeZyme beats the drugstore enzyme I was using
Swapped a cheap chewable enzyme for Keel. Less bloating after beans and dairy, less gurgling on calls. I did not expect that change from the same bromelain plus a broader enzyme blend.
Clean, no mega-dose nonsense
I like that zinc is 20 mg chelated, biotin 5 mcg, D3 50 mcg — all within a daily frame, not 3000% hype. It feels like nutrition, not a dare.
Pairs well with smaller meals
I was worried about taking iron and magnesium together on a light stomach. With food and a full glass of water it has been smooth. No nausea after the first two days once I timed it to lunch.
Hair shedding calmed once iron and zinc were steady
Rapid weight change left me shedding more than I wanted. Keeping iron, zinc and biotin steady with Keel plus eating enough protein has levelled things after a few weeks. Nothing instant, but steady.
Does what the label says, and the label says everything
Every milligram is printed, even the MCT oil and cellulose. No proprietary blend. That is why I trust it when my appetite and routine are shifting — I can show the label to my clinician and we both know what it is.
Steady gut, steady mood
Magnesium plus steady B vitamins and the gut comfort blend have made my days more even. Less bloating, less evening agitation, better mornings. It is not a mood pill, just a steadier base.
Excellent, but take it *with* food, not before
First day I took it 20 minutes before lunch on an empty stomach and felt a iron twinge. Day two with my sandwich, nothing at all. Food is not optional with this one — the label is right.
Great formula, wish it were vegan capsule
Everything inside is what I want, but the capsule is hypromellose — actually fine, sorry — I mean it is veg-friendly, which I appreciate. My only ask would be a 90-day bottle so I order less often.
Ginger scent when you open the bottle
You get a warm ginger hit on opening, which I like because it tells me the extract is real. It does not repeat on you the way cheap ginger chews do.
Two caps is the right call — do not try one
I tried stretching to one a day to save money. Felt nothing. Back to two as directed and the comfort and energy difference returned within days.
Calmer digestion within the first week
Noticeable by day five. Less post-meal pressure, more regular mornings, no harsh urgency. Probiotic plus enzymes feels like a gentle assist rather than a flush.
Solid daily support, not an overnight fix
Week one was subtle. Weeks two and three were where the comfort and steadier appetite settled in. This is maintenance, not a rescue remedy, and the label is honest about that.
Appreciate the iron warning taken seriously
The iron wording on the PDP is not small-print. Accidental overdose warning is right there and the PDP tells you who should ask a clinician first. I showed it to my GP and we were aligned.
Good, but the peppermint aftertaste is not for me
It is mild, but I am very sensitive to mint and I catch it for an hour after lunch. Still keeping it for the comfort, just chewing gum after. Others probably will not even notice.
Works, but the bottle is only 30 days
Quality is clear, but I travel a lot for work and a 60-day bottle would be more convenient than reordering monthly. The 60-count at two a day goes quickly.
Gentle, though I had to split the dose at first
Two at once felt a bit much week one. I did one with lunch and one with dinner for a few days, then moved to both with lunch. Now smooth on the standard two together.
Did not sit well when I ignored the food advice
Took it with black coffee on a totally empty stomach before a run and paid for it. Chalk that up to iron. Lesson learned — with a proper meal it is fine, without one it is not.
Lid was dented in shipping
Box arrived with a dented cap and the seal had lifted at the edge. Knurle replaced it quickly, but I did not take the dented bottle. Packing could use more padding.
The studies behind it.
Four papers worth knowing about, written up in plain English. They test the ingredients rather than this exact bottle, and where that difference matters we have said so.
Ginger for nausea — not folklore
A randomised trial of standardised ginger extract for nausea showed lower nausea scores versus placebo, attributed to gingerols and shogaols acting on 5-HT3 receptors in the gut. No serious adverse events. It is the most relevant trial if a smaller appetite comes with queasiness.
The catchGinger soothed nausea; it did not fix appetite loss itself. If nausea is severe, that is a clinician conversation, not a supplement claim.
Piperine makes iron count
BioPerine® (piperine) stimulates intestinal epithelial uptake. Studies showed higher serum iron when iron was co-taken with piperine versus iron alone, and human work in iron-low people improved haemoglobin and ferritin. The idea: a smaller, better-absorbed dose beats a larger one that passes through.
The catchEnhanced absorption is real, but only with food and the 5 mg dose used here. More iron does not mean more energy.
Magnesium and zinc together move the needle
A 2025 study of combined magnesium + zinc in humans found that correcting low levels of both improved fasting glucose and insulin sensitivity more than either mineral alone. Separately, low magnesium and low zinc are each tied to impaired insulin signalling.
The catchThese were corrections of deficiencies, not super-doses in replete people. If your levels are already fine, the effect is smaller.
Bromelain does two jobs at once
A 2024 study showed bromelain breaks down proteins while also lowering gut inflammatory cytokines. That maps to less post-meal bloating and pressure, plus a gentler inflammatory tone in the gut. The authors flagged a good safety profile at supplemental doses.
The catchBromelain helped comfort and bloating; it is not a weight-loss or GLP-1 substitute.

Things people ask.
01When should I take Keel?
Two capsules a day with a full glass of water and a meal. With food is not optional here — iron is inside, and food makes it comfortable.
02Why enzymes and a probiotic together?
Two different jobs. DigeZyme® + bromelain help break food down in the moment; LactoSpore® (Bacillus coagulans) supports the steady background balance. Together they make meals feel lighter.
03I already take iron or B vitamins — should I add Keel?
Add up the totals. Keel has 18 mg iron, 525 mcg B12 (methylcobalamin), 400 mcg folate and 26 mg B6 (P5P). If you already supplement those, show the label to your clinician and adjust — do not double up blindly.
04Is Keel for GLP-1 users only?
No. Anyone focused on digestive comfort and steady nutrient intake can use it. The formula is designed for wellness-focused adults managing appetite changes, which includes but is not limited to GLP-1 lifestyles.
05Who should skip it or ask first?
Talk to your clinician if pregnant, nursing, under 18, or on meds — iron and piperine can interact. And keep iron away from small children; accidental iron overdose is dangerous.
06What is in Keel, and how much of each?
The vitamins and minerals each carry their own number: D3 50 mcg, B6 26 mg, folate 400 mcg DFE, B12 525 mcg, biotin 5 mcg, iron 18 mg, magnesium 200 mg, zinc 20 mg, BioPerine® 5 mg, and LactoSpore® at 166 mg. The botanicals come as two blends our manufacturer prints as totals, a 325 mg Digestive Comfort blend of ginger, peppermint, bromelain and DigeZyme® enzymes, and a 126 mg Energy blend built on ashwagandha, so those two lines show the blend weight rather than each plant on its own.
