What this actually is
Trim is berberine, a bright yellow compound found in the bark and roots of barberry and its relatives. It has been part of traditional practice for a very long time, and researchers have been busy with it for the last twenty years.
Each two-capsule serving has 800 mg of granular berberine hydrochloride extract in two strengths: 790 mg standardised to 8%, and 10 mg standardised to 97%. Both are printed on the label.
Two a day, sixty in the bottle, so one bottle is one month. The capsule is vegetable cellulose, which makes Trim vegan. Take it with a glass of water and a meal, and carry on with your day.*
Where it is made
Made in the United States in an FDA-registered, GMP-certified facility, then packed and posted from Arvada, Colorado. The address on the label is ours, and there is usually a dog in the building.
Twenty seconds, one capsule with a face.
Pip walks through what is in the bottle and how much of it, straight off the label. Sound is off until you tap it, which we think is only polite.
Here it is, drawn to scale.
Two strengths of the same extract, drawn to scale. There is no official Daily Value for berberine, so it is milligrams all the way down.
** Daily Value not established. Other ingredients: cellulose (vegetable capsule), microcrystalline cellulose, L-leucine, olive oil.
How to take it.
No loading phase, no cycling, no chart on the fridge. Two capsules and a glass of water.
Two capsules, one glass of water
Six to eight ounces does it. With a meal is the usual habit.
Same time, most days
Pin it to the meal you never skip. Turning up is the whole trick.
Somewhere cool and dry
Not the bathroom. Skip it if the seal is broken. Keep out of reach of children.

Curbs mid-morning sugar cravings
The biggest difference for me is appetite stability. I don't feel the urge to graze on office snacks before lunch.
Helps sustain balanced energy post-meal
Normally I get a heavy food coma after lunch, but Trim seems to smooth out post-prandial sluggishness.
Need to pair with consistent diet
It’s not magic weight loss in a bottle, but it provides tangible support for metabolic rhythm and less bloating. Hope it restocks soon!
Gentle and effective metabolic boost
No thermogenic jitters, no stomach discomfort. Just a clean, metabolic baseline boost that helps with digestion.
Noticeable improvement in digestion
Felt less sluggish after heavier dinners. Happy with the results over 30 days of consistent use.
Already waiting on the restock
So sad this is sold out right now. It noticeably improved my body composition and satiety over the past two months.
The studies behind it.
Four papers worth knowing about, written up in plain English. They test the ingredients rather than this exact bottle, and where that difference matters we have said so.
Twelve trials and a tape measure
A meta-analysis pooled twelve randomised trials of berberine. Across them, people taking it lost 2.07 kg more than the comparison groups, BMI came down by 0.47 and waistlines by 1.08 cm. A blood marker of inflammation, CRP, came down a little too.
The catchAround two kilos over the length of a trial is modest. The trials used purified berberine at their own doses. A serving of Trim works out at about 73 mg of berberine hydrochloride, from 800 mg of extract.
Three months, 116 people
A placebo-controlled trial gave 116 adults with type 2 diabetes and raised blood fats one gram of berberine a day for three months. Long-term blood sugar, measured as HbA1c, went from 7.5% to 6.6%. Fasting glucose, triglycerides and LDL cholesterol all came down as well.
The catchThese were people with a diagnosis, under medical care, taking one gram of berberine a day. Trim is a food supplement with far less berberine per serving, and it does not treat diabetes.
The cholesterol paper
In a 2004 study, 32 people with high cholesterol took berberine for three months. Total cholesterol fell by 29%, triglycerides by 35% and LDL cholesterol by 25%. It is the paper that got researchers interested in berberine and blood fats.
The catchThirty-two people and no placebo group, so treat it as an opening line rather than the last word.
Twenty-seven trials, one review
A 2015 meta-analysis gathered 27 randomised trials with 2,569 patients, looking at berberine for blood sugar, blood fats and blood pressure. The results pointed the same way as the smaller studies.
The catchMost of those trials added berberine to treatment people were already on, and the reviewers flagged the quality of many of them. Researchers are still at it.

Things people ask.
01When should I take Trim?
Two capsules a day with 6-8 oz of water. With a meal is the usual habit for berberine. Same time most days is the part that matters.
02What is in Trim, and how much?
Two strengths of granular berberine hydrochloride extract in a two-capsule serving: 790 mg standardised to 8%, from bark and root, and 10 mg standardised to 97%, from bark. Do the sum and that is about 73 mg of berberine hydrochloride a serving.
03Is Trim vegan?
Yes. The capsule is vegetable cellulose, and the other ingredients are microcrystalline cellulose, L-leucine and olive oil.
04Can I take Trim with the other bottles?
Yes. Trim shares no ingredients with anything else in the range, so there are no totals to add up.
05Why is there no %DV on the label?
Because no Daily Value has been established for berberine. It is a plant compound rather than a vitamin or a mineral, so the label shows ** and prints the milligrams in full.
06Should anyone skip it?
Do not take berberine if you are pregnant or nursing, and do not give it to children. Talk to your clinician first if you take medicine for blood sugar or any other prescription, because berberine can add to the effect of diabetes medication and can change how some medicines are processed.
